Welcome, Y'all!

Hello, people! Welcome to my blog, where I try my best to post my recent photography attempts and experiments. As you will presently find out, I do not claim to be a professional of any sort, but rather enjoy photography as a hobby. You probably won't find anything extraordinary or stupendously stunning, but hopefully it will bless you heart! Most of my "photographing" happens at home, around the farm, in the garden, or in different places around our little town. At any rate, I hope everything that I do and say brings honor to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and that you will be blessed by visiting this blog!
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

The Simple Things...

Don't take the simple things in life for granted....like walks with your 5 yr old brother. Little people always have questions, so it's an important time to influence their little life positively for God's glory! William is an especially inquisitive child, so discussions always abound during our walks. ;)

Sunshine and a Game of Tag

First, the other day I was experimenting with my dear old friend, Mr. Sunshine, and here's what we came up with! ;) Enjoy!

Second, some friends are playing a game of blog-tag, and it seems I have been tagged!

Since I actually find myself with a spare few minutes today, {shocker!} I shall cooperate and see what I can come up with!

 Here are the rules:

1. Post these rules.
2. Post 11 random things about yourself. (Though this can be optional.)
3. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you in their post.
4. Create 11 new questions for the people you ask to answer.
5. Go to their blog and let them know you've tagged them.

Alright, 11 random things about me:
Here goes!

1. I saw snow for the first time when I was 17.
2. I was born with a cleft palate.
3. I'm scared of horses...(getting over it, though) ;)
4. My favorite hobby from a small child has been collecting and studying insects :P
5. I love to cook!
6. Obviously, I enjoy photography.
7. I L.O.V.E. Florida and hope to never have to leave. :)
8. My favorite fruits are oranges and peaches.
9. I love volleyball
10. I'm a cleaning/organizing freak
11. Driving a tractor relaxes me. :)

Okay, Sadie has tagged me and these are her questions for me, which I'll do my best to answer. ;)
1. Tile, carpet, or wood floors?
 Wood, every time!

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? More than I can count...I like to have a pair {or two} in every color...;)

3. Hymns, or Contemporary Christian music? I prefer Hymns, but some contemporary is beautiful and God-honoring!

4. Which do you prefer; VHS or DVD? I depends on whether you're trying to save space or don't care and would rather your movies last longer! VHS last forever while DVDs get mercilessly scratched and cracked.
5. Fake flowers or real? Real, definitely. Even better, grown by yourself!
6. How many pillows do you sleep with? One.
7. What is your favorite name for a girl? Hmmm, I don't think I have a favorite, but I love the names Constance, Mariah, and Amy.
8. What is your favorite dessert? Peanut butter cookies....or a good, moist chocolate cake...or peanut butter pie...or....well you get the point! I don't have a favorite!
9. Do you have a favorite time of the day? If so what is it? Just when the sun is about to set, everything is winding down, supper is being made, the animals are being fed, music is floating through the house, and Daddy is coming home from work. The world seems just about perfect right around that time.
10. Would you rather type an e-mail, or hand write a letter? Hand writing for fun, but computer for efficiency and things I have to actually think out. I tend to erase six or seven thousand times before I decide how I want to say something. ;)
11. Who is your all time favorite actor, and what is your favorite movie he plays in? Hmm....I don't know! I haven't given that much thought! I love Bob Cummings, Jimmy Stuart, Roddy McDowell, Peter Lorre, and Mickey Rooney for old actors, and for modern actors...how about we just don't go there. ;) It would probably take me all day to think of one or two. I obviously don't have a favorite. I'm not a movie person, really :P

Okay, I guess I'm supposed to think of 11 questions for the next victim, er I mean participant. :D
Here goes....
1. Country or city?
2. Neutral, bright, or pastel colors?
3. Are you a homebody or do you love to travel?
4. Would you rather be inside or outside?
5. Shoes or no shoes?
6. What are you most afraid of?
7. Roaches or spiders?
8. The beach or the mountains?
9. Snow or sunshine?
10. Mint and chocolate or peanut butter and chocolate...or neither
11. Your favorite book of the Bible, if you have one.

Have a happy day, people!
