Welcome, Y'all!

Hello, people! Welcome to my blog, where I try my best to post my recent photography attempts and experiments. As you will presently find out, I do not claim to be a professional of any sort, but rather enjoy photography as a hobby. You probably won't find anything extraordinary or stupendously stunning, but hopefully it will bless you heart! Most of my "photographing" happens at home, around the farm, in the garden, or in different places around our little town. At any rate, I hope everything that I do and say brings honor to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and that you will be blessed by visiting this blog!
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

Fresh Cut Flowers

All nature’s works His praise declare, to Whom they all belong;
There is a voice in every star, in every breeze a song.
Sweet music fills the world abroad with strains of love and power;
The stormy sea sings praise to God, the thunder and the shower.

To God the tribes of ocean cry, and birds upon the wing;
To God the powers that dwell on high their tuneful tribute bring.
Like them, let us the throne surround, with them loud chorus raise,
While instruments of loftier sound assist our feeble praise.

Henry Ware, Jr. 1882

It's lovely to be able to put a vase on the dinner table full of fresh-cut flowers from your garden. :)

Gardenias
Hollyhocks
Snapdragons
Golden Dewdrops

Passionflower--one of the most intricately formed flowers I've ever seen...
How could anyone possibly deny the Creator when He has given us such awesome proof as this. The Lord has created everything "decently and in order." It's amazing how perfectly symmetrical this flower is, and how beautifully all of the colors coordinate. Just gorgeous!

  1. Mary, that flower arrangement on the table is so beautiful. You know I love it, because it has some of my favorite flowers in it. How welcoming it was on the table for Sunday dinner!

    And the passion flower is beautiful, although Granddaddy hates it. He has pulled too much of it out of citrus trees in the grove! You are right about it being a beautiful testimony to its Creator!

  4. Grandmama--Yes, I totally agree with Granddaddy. They really are a royal pain when they pop up where they aren't wanted. I've pulled up my share of them, too. :oP Missing you already!

    Love,
    Mary
